TRADITIONS...Jesus is the Reason for the Season!
We have been talking about baby Jesus all month. The kids are learning about why baby Jesus was born and that he came to be our "best friend forever." Paigey and I decided to play "Nativity" the other day and as you can see the purple haired fairy is Mary and the blond Kelly doll is Joseph and the little block is baby Jesus....Then there is the Bethlehem town and of course Dora is the "Mean King" (King Herod) and the puppet show is his Castle. In this riveting version of the story Paige was hoping that the "Mean King" would capture baby Jesus...I told her that God protected Mary & Joseph & Baby Jesus and they escaped from the "Mean King..." because the angel told them to flee to Egypt - but she just smiled and said "I know Mommy, I'm just pretending!"
What a funny girl...love her!

*PRINCE OF PEACE...On NETFLIX under "Watch Instantly" you can find this movie, it's a cheesy little cartoon that only lasts 20 minutes...but Paigey loves it!
*THE NATIVITY STORY
*IT'S A MEANINGFUL LIFE...VeggieTales has a few Christmas movies but I especially enjoyed this one...it's a similar story to the classic It's A Wonderful Life!
